Watch your eyes

Please follow the following instructions to keep your eyes and vision healthy for the rest of your life.

Quit smoking, or, even better, never start. Smoking is bad for your eyes as it is for the rest of your body. Research connects smoking with increased probability for developing age related degeneration of the macula, cataract and damage of the optical nerve, diseases that can cause blindness.
Wear sunglasses. Sunglasses are an important  fashion accessory but their most important role is to protect your eyesight from the sun’s ultraviolet radiation. Try the 20-20 rule: every 20 minutes make sure you look at a distance of about 6 metres for about 20 seconds. This simple method can reduce the feeling of eye strain. Even for these cases there exist specialized glasses help a lot with eye strain and, also, protect from the inense light emitted from modern screens in  mobiles, tablets etc.

You must carefully clean your hands and contact lenses. To avoid infection you muist always carefully wash your hands before putting on or removing your contact lenses. Make sure that you keep the correct procedure  during putting or removing the contact lenses from their carrying case. You must change their case once a month.
